After a trip to New Orleans, Ivan DeAvy was inspired to use music as the muse for 2015 year’s art show. He chose 21 songs by artists such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington.
Each artist was assigned a song and instructed to create a piece inspired by the music. The exhibition was made up of 21 pieces created by 21 artists who were each assigned a song as inspiration.
My piece was inspired by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald’s rendition of tenderly.
